Order Picker/Fulfillment Specialist – Guelph, ON Canada at Connect Tech Inc.

We are currently seeking an Order Picker/Fulfilment Specialist who will play an important role on our manufacturing team where collaboration and innovation are a big part of our collective success. The main responsibilities include preparing shipping and customs documentation, retrieving orders and preparing products for shipment, packaging products, monitoring shipping deadlines and administrative duties including preparing shipping documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Packaging products for shipping while adhering to standard instructions
• Prepare bills of lading for shipments
• Monitor daily shipping deadlines and manage workflow accordingly
• Administer order shipments in software program
• Process shipments in FedEx, UPS, DHL, and Purolator portals
• Create customs documentation in CERS portal for international shipments
• Retrieving and handling packaging supplies
• Complete shipping documentation neatly and accurately
• Adhere to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Process shipments in FedEx, UPS, and Purolator

Required Skills And Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must have experience processing domestic and international shipments
• Working knowledge of shipping carriers’ portals
• Previous experience in shipping or logistic is an asset
• Proven experience in an order picking or fulfilment role an asset
• Thrives in a team work environment also works well with other teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a computerized environment (MS Office)
• Proven capability to learn new systems quickly
• Have initiative to be productive and self-motivated
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Capable of lifting boxes or materials up to 45 pounds when needed
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working with ladders
