Geotab is seeking a Senior Manager, Community & Social Media who will define strategy and lead execution across Geotab's global social media presence and community ecosystem. What You'll Do

As a Senior Manager, Community & Social Media your key area of responsibility will be defining strategy and leading execution across Geotab's global social media presence and community ecosystem. Operating with a commitment to operational excellence, this leader champions brand authority, trust, and continuous engagement across fleet operators, technology partners, and key industry stakeholders. Key accountabilities include: spearheading a high-impact, results-oriented global social media strategy across a variety of channels to accelerate sustainable community growth across customer, partner, and developer channels. The leader of this team will be responsible for setting and maintaining the content and editorial standards of highest quality to solidify Geotab's market leadership in connected transportation. You will need to work closely with key cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Corporate Comms, Regional Marketing, Sales and Support.

To be successful in this role you will be a collaborative leader with strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional editorial judgment, and a coaching, results-oriented leadership style. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, deep expertise in B2B social media strategy, and proven experience building and scaling online communities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Develop and own Geotab's global organic social media strategy across platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, defining platform-specific content for fleet managers, logistics professionals, and reseller partners.
  • Manage editorial calendars, publishing cadences, and real-time community engagement across all organic social channels.
  • Build, grow, and moderate Geotab's owned community platforms to drive adoption, active participation, and member retention among customers, partners, and developers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social media managers and community specialists while establishing clear goals, performance standards, workflows, and governance frameworks.
  • Design and execute strategic community initiatives, including customer advocate programs, reseller/partner forums, industry advisory groups, and live programming (livestreams, webinars, podcasts).
  • Develop onboarding, recognition, and engagement programs to convert passive members into active community contributors.
  • Establish a social-first content framework, brand voice guidelines, and editorial standards to translate product milestones and thought leadership into engaging, platform-native assets.
  • Define and own the KPI framework for community and social channels, delivering regular performance dashboards to leadership and leveraging data to continuously test and iterate strategy.
  • Partner with paid media, brand, demand generation, and product marketing teams to align organic and paid strategies, embed social in launches, and champion employee advocacy.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to corporate communications and PR, managing social crisis response protocols and escalation playbooks to protect brand reputation.

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in social media management, community building, digital marketing, or a related communications discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of direct team leadership or people management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (an advanced degree like an MBA or Master's in Marketing/Communications is an asset).
  • Deep expertise in B2B social media strategy, organic growth, and building/scaling online communities across customer, partner, and developer segments.
  • Proficiency with social management and community platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Gainsight Communities, Khoros, Discourse) alongside analytical and listening tools.
  • Familiarity with fleet management, telematics, commercial IoT, or B2B SaaS industries, with familiarity in SEO and AEO principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong editorial judgment, collaborative stakeholder management, and crisis response experience.

The annual base salary for this position is the expected annual salary for this role, and may be subject to change. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.

Hiring Range

$128,100—$170,900 CAD
