Woodwinds Instruments Instructor at Dawn Recruiting Agency

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Woodwind Instrument Instructor to join our growing music education team in Calgary, Alberta.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in one or more woodwind instruments and a genuine passion for helping students develop their musical abilities. Instructors with experience teaching multiple instruments are also encouraged to apply.

As a Woodwind Instrument Instructor, you will provide engaging and personalized music lessons to students of different ages and skill levels. You will help students develop their musical abilities, build confidence, and achieve their individual learning goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging one-on-one woodwind music lessons.
• Teach students according to their skill level, goals, and learning pace.
• Prepare structured, enjoyable, and personalized lessons.
• Teach proper instrument technique, music theory, performance skills, and effective practice methods.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities.
• Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with students and parents/guardians when required.
• Help prepare students for performances, recitals, examinations, or personal musical goals.
• Maintain a professional and reliable approach to teaching.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in a woodwind instrument such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, or another relevant woodwind instrument.
• Previous experience teaching music or providing private music lessons.
• Ability to teach students from beginner to advanced levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching music.
• Ability to create engaging and personalized lessons.
• Reliable and professional approach.
• Relevant musical education, certification, performance experience, or equivalent practical experience is an asset.
• Experience teaching multiple instruments is an asset.
