Quality Control Technician

Location: Val-d’Or – On-site

Schedule: 40 hours per week -5/2 or 4/3

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that manufactured products meet Epiroc’s quality standards. They inspect and test equipment before delivery and ensure that industrial control panels are tested and approved in accordance with applicable standards.

Main responsibilities and duties

• Inspect products and perform the required tests before delivery;
• Test industrial control panels and ensure they meet CSA approval requirements;
• Establish and apply internal manufacturing standards and procedures;
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards;
• Investigate issues, identify their causes and recommend solutions;
• Suggest ongoing improvements to work methods and quality control processes;
• Follow health and safety procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational diploma in electricity or college diploma in industrial electronics;
• Five years of experience in the electrical field;
• Class C electrician’s licence or qualification as an electrician;
• Knowledge of electrical codes, including those applicable to mines, and standards for industrial control panels;
• Knowledge of CSA and UL standards and approvals;
• Ability to analyze problems, make decisions, and work independently or as part of a team;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
