General Laborer

The General Laborer is responsible for performing various manual tasks to support aircraft production, assembly, or other operational activities within MHICA Environment. This role involves physical labor and requires a willingness to manage a wide range of tasks, from assisting skilled assemblers to, cleaning and maintain aircraft and work environment. The General Laborer must adhere to safety standards while working to contribute to the overall success of the assigned assembly team and to assist in assigned work details.

Responsibilities

Assistance and Support:

  • Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., aircraft assemblers) by providing tools, materials, and assistance as needed.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors or team leads to complete tasks accurately and efficiently on the aircraft.
  • Perform general aircraft or site cleanup, including removing debris and maintaining a tidy workspace.

Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations specific to the aviation industry to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Miscellaneous Duties

  • Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on various roles as needed to support the team.

Physical Working Demands and Working Conditions

  • Comfortable working in various aircraft assembly positions, such as inside aircraft
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends, if necessary.
  • Work environments can vary and may include, noise, working with chemicals and wearing PPE equipment as per the scope of work assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
