About The Role

Working closely and reporting into the President & CEO , your responsibilities will be to manage the day to day accounting operations of the company. Duties would include but not be limited to:

• Supervise a Team of 6 accountants. 2 locally, 4 overseas.
• Overseeing the day-to-day activities in accounting operations and the teams including billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timeliness
• Reviewing financial statements
• Preparing regular reports, including month-end closing statements, quarterly reports to the bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reports, etc
• Manage Bank, CRA and Auditor relationships
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Delegating, supervising, and participating in accounting department tasks
• Developing and implementing department controls and procedures
• Ad hoc projects and responsibilities

Qualifications

• CPA is required
• Excellent English communication skills are required
• 8+ years experience, minimum 3+ in a supervisory role
• Experience with Sage 300, Quickbooks Online or other ERP is preferred
• Strong Excel and other Microsoft applications are essential
