Your opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a senior geotechnical project manager to join our Ville St-Laurent office (ideally), or who can work from one of our other locations (downtown Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Ottawa, Toronto, Dartmouth N.S.). Your main tasks are to participate in geotechnical investigation campaigns, to carry out the design of complex civil works and to act as technical reviewer in your discipline. With your achievements and your recognized expertise, you will make decisions and technical recommendations.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform major geotechnical studies;

  • Identify the risks inherent to the activities;

  • Manage complex technical situations;

  • Establish applicable standards and procedures;

  • Advise and develop new methods, practices and tools;

  • Participate in coaching and staff development;

  • Participate in bids and proposals;

  • Participate in the development of geotechnical discipline at Stantec in Quebec;

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering;

  • Master's degree in geotechnical engineering;

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience;

  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) (asset)

  • Excellent ability in managing large projects;

  • Excellent ability to write technical reports;

  • Bilingualism, French and English (asset)

  • Experience in the mining field (asset);

  • Author of technical publications (asset).
