Job Summary


AECOM is seeking Instrumentation Technician Journeymen to join our CNRL Horizon site in Fort McMurray for a 3 week shutdown.


Responsibilities


  • Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant equipment


  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment


  • Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures


  • Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults


  • Consult with and advise process operators


  • Implement loss management practices


  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts


  • Do risk assessments


  • Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications


  • Work with engineers on basic design


  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes


  • Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices


  • Calibration/Repair experience with pressure, temperature and density meters


  • Oil sands experience with Slurry and Froth applications

Minimum Requirements


  • Alberta Certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal


  • Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09)


  • Fall Protection


  • Confined Space Ticket

Preferred Qualifications


  • Calibration/Repair experience with pressure, temperature and density meters


  • Oil sands experience with Slurry and Froth applications


  • Industrial experience with process controls systems
