We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Agassiz, BC! This is a part-time, temporary position.


Duties


  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier parcels


  • Open, date stamp, sort


  • Process outgoing mail through mail machine and take to post office


  • Drop off mail to businesses if they are local (i.e. District of Kent)


  • Supply management


  • Order and pick up supplies from Shoppers/ Printers etc


  • Stock and tidy front shelves


  • Keep stock room tidy and organized


  • Reception


  • Tidy reception area, wipe down counters


  • Telephone answering; transferring calls to brokers and voice mail


  • Renewal auto calls (once comfortable on the phone)


  • Filing (Commercial, T Filing, ICBC, overflow)


  • Faxing, copying, scanning, labelling


  • Make up and post hour sheets


  • Prepare word documents/spreadsheets where requested


  • Empty recycling/garbage, tidy kitchen, wash dishes, make coffee, run errands


  • Help with seasonal decorating or promotions


  • Learn ICBC tasks such as - plate returns; batching; inventory, autolinking, quality checking, and audits

Candidate Requirements


  • Positive attitude, eager to provide great client service experience


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure


  • Solid administrative skills including strong attention to detail, organization and accuracy


  • Ability to multitask and exercise initiative and work effectively in a team environment


  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written


  • No experience required, ideal for high school student
