Your Opportunity


We are currently seeking a Project Manager/Project Engineer to join the team in our Regina, Saskatchewan office.


Your Key Responsibilities


  • The successful candidate will be accountable for project performance, scope, schedule, budget, and technical deliverables for projects within the Energy & Resources sector.


  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and approval of final project engineering design reports.


  • Oversee the review of equipment technical bid submissions.


  • Oversee the development of engineering design drawings, reports, construction documents, and Client required forms.


  • Manage budget and schedule for engineering tasks.


  • Direct and coordinate the project engineering team for the execution of the design of projects.


  • Coordinate activities of the project team with other project disciplines.


  • Oversee and mentor junior engineering and other technical staff.


  • Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures.


  • Provide regular updates on work progress to support preparation of cost and schedule reports.


  • Reinforce corporate quality and safety standards.


  • Oversee the implementation of corporate quality and safety standards into projects.


  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of engineering work scope and cost estimations.


  • Function as designated contract liaison with client on project contract performance and delivery.


  • Perform quality assurance function for work products before they are submitted to Client.


  • It is desired the candidate be a registered professional engineer and be capable of self-performing some technical and design work.

  • Working in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its Clients.


  • Ensuring all applicable safety codes, regulations and guidelines are met by appropriate design and use of technology.


  • Review and analysis of drawings for possible safety and constructability problems prior to issue to clients.

Your Capabilities and Credentials


  • Minimum 10 years of oil & gas, power, or mining design experience.


  • Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience.


  • Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Degree.


  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan (or eligible for licensing with APEGS).


  • Experience managing projects with capital expenditures in excess of $1M.


  • Supervision of 1 to 5 other engineering staff/project teams.


  • Extensive experience and application of local regulatory frameworks.
