Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Scheduler/Delay Analyst for immediate employment, this is a position for a Planner/scheduler. The Candidate is expected to work various types of projects (e.g Water, wastewater, transportation, building, et c), during pre-construction and construction phases. This is a 6-month contract position based out of our Mississauga office but the employee may visit the Windsor site from time to time.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads the effort in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis, earned value management, and construction activities in support of projects

  • Specifically, this person will do Schedule Delay Analysis and support with claim preparation. That person will need to closely communicate with the various teams to build the fragnets and evaluate the impacts.

  • Study projects Contract documents related to Change Orders, claims, schedules, Delays and Disputes resolution procedure.

  • Study Delay events and relevant supporting documents (Letters, RFI’s, Notices, Change orders etc.…) and provide project Owners with contractual opinions and determination on Claims and Change Orders.

  • Review cost/time extension Claims and change orders requests submitted by Contractors.

  • Prepare detailed analysis reports as required by Clients to evaluate major claims submitted by the Contractors

  • Prepares and updates detailed schedules for design and engineering projects, including activities for all site investigation, design phases and document submissions.

  • Participates in the preparation of the various bids and proposals, by providing time schedules that reflects the timing and sequence of the scope of work stipulated in the RFP.

  • Participates with various clients in determining the optimum construction durations by Preparing different constructability schedules scenarios and associated presentations.

  • Reviews, comments and approves the contractors and sub-consultants Baseline schedules.

  • Monitors, reviews and comments the progress schedule updates submitted by the contractors and the sub-consultants.

  • Prepares and submits weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

  • As needed, prepares and submits short term and look-ahead schedules in various formats that meet the clients and project stakeholder’s requirements.

  • Reviews sub-consultants invoices and insure that items coding is matching the project cost breakdown and coding structure.

  • Submits, updates, controls and follow-up on the project staffing list and work sheets to insure that the project staffs are approved by the client and the billing process is not hindered.

  • Prepares and submits monthly project invoices that include both the sub-consultants and the direct manpower cost for the clients review and approval.

  • Prepares internal and external cost reports.

  • Implements and follows the Quality Assurance Program procedures

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate should have, as a very minimum to be considered, no less than a university degree + 6 years of relevant experience. If the candidate does not have this, the demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Schedule Analysis and supporting claim preparation.
