A s a “ P rocurement Supervisor" at L3 MAS you will:


Povide world class procurement services for a wide range of direct and indirect material and services in support of several Maintenance Repair & Overhaul contracts in the aerospace industry. Along with your Team, you will be called upon to work closely with several functions within the company (Programs, Engineering, Methods, Production and Finance) in a multi site context.


To achieve this, you will be called upon to:


  • Develop and implement categorysourcing strategies;


  • In collaboration withstakeholders, develop, issue and manage RFxrequirements and documentation;


  • Analyze supplier proposals andmake recommendation to buy based on evaluation criteria;


  • Support and collaborate withEngineering, Facilities and Finance to undertake cost analysis formaterial and services;


  • Participate in Design forSupply Chain (DfSC) activities to maximize quality, cost and deliverythroughout the supply chain;


  • Negotiate of pricing, terms andCustomer and Corporate flow downs and deliverables;


  • Negotiate and execute contractsand long term agreements;


  • Issue and manage PurchaseOrders;


  • Analyze market conditions forall commodities such as price, availability and lead-time;


  • Evaluate supplier performanceto improve cost, quality and delivery performance;


  • Ensure proactive expediting tosupport the sales forecasting process;


  • Develop Estimate at Completion(EAC) reports each month for Supply Chain;


  • Implement cost reductioninitiatives for indirect materials and services;


  • Develop KPI’s to ensuredepartmental goals, objectives and service level agreements and met andexceeded;


  • Participate in the development,implementation and communication of procurement & material managementprocedures;


  • Actively participate in theimplementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve procurementand materiel management

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent;


  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant procurement management experience (any other equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);


  • Must have strong working knowledge of Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) procurement in the aerospace industry;


  • Very good knowledge of direct & indirect buying, supply chain management and category management ;


  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions as well as technical publications, customer specifications, prints & drawings;


  • Procurement / Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS, APICS ;


  • Working knowledge of MRP;


  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;


  • High attention to detail;


  • Knowledge of SAP an asset;


  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written);


  • Analytical, Adaptability, Teamwork, Initiative skills;


  • Customer service oriented;


  • Available to travel (10% of the time)

Operational requirements :


  • Must be eligible forregistration to the ControlledGoods Program ;


  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining thegovernment of Canada’s “ Reliability ”status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
