Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of cost estimates on proposals of complex training devices and services for proposals.
  • Interact with multiple departments for proposal related costing activity tools, procedures and process improvements.
  • Review Customer Requirements in collaboration with system/solution architects and subject matter experts and provide advice on costing strategies in parallel with solution development.
  • Prepare and validate cost estimates for services, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment.
  • Identify cost risks and include in the cost estimates where applicable.
  • Developing new or enhancing current cost estimation tools.
  • Supporting the collection and analysis of company costs to support metrics that can be used for the development of proposal estimates.
  • Supports Make/Buy, Data, Parts & Equipment (DP&E) decisions, in support of proposals.
  • Develop standard price volume sections for competitive proposals.
  • Help Sales/Marketing and Capture Managers with early cost/price strategy development.
  • Support internal & external audits
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a high-tech industry.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and breakdown complex, high-tech systems with multiple hardware and software components.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, etc.
  • Expertise in analyzing information, designing, and developing new approaches, methodologies and processes.
  • Ability to conduct oral and written presentations/documentation to fellow group members and to senior management is essential.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Reliability Status Clearance.
 

Duration: 12 Months + Possible Extensions
