Senior Project Manager


CIMA+ is looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Infrastructure group in London, on. Our fast-growing office needs a senior project manager to lead, develop and empower a diverse group of professionals and technical staff delivering municipal water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with members of our multi-disciplinary project team on exciting and engaging infrastructure projects, while having a strong understanding of the municipal engineering environment in London with a track record of successful project.


  • Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction and commissioning of municipal water and wastewater projects
  • Prepare and/or supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans, cost estimates, specifications and contract documents for water and wastewater related projects
  • Lead and/or assist in the pursuit of new projects involving request for proposals with clients, including technical writing of approaches
  • Build relationships with existing and potential clients in effort to grow the local water and wastewater practice
  • Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA to meet client expectations
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders, and contractors
  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff on fundamentals and general project management skills.


  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited post-secondary institute (related graduate degree would be preferred)
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience in working with municipal clients in engineering or project management roles in Southwestern Ontario
  • Demonstrated success and expertise in water/wastewater projects including Class EAs, Treatment facilities and/or major linear infrastructure projects
  • Experience in coordinating projects
  • Proven experience in managing project teams on small, medium and large consulting projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively scope and budget new projects
  • Proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication of project plans and presentations.
  • Planning and design of municipal infrastructure with emphasis on major water, wastewater and drainage projects
