Our Rail team is looking for a sruveyor to join his team for a major project in the Gaspe Peninsula:

The responsibilities of the position include, among others:


• Surveying within the railway group, mainly for construction control surveying (verifications of contractors' work);
• Calculations of quantities by volume following the execution of surveys and surveys for our main railway clients as well as for civil projects
• Monitoring the movement of railway tracks and retaining walls (at level) and any other civil works;
• Surveying support for site supervisors on our various projects, etc. computer processing of surveys using different surveying and drawing software.
• Poste is based in Gaspesie, Quebec.

 



Qualifications required:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology;
• 2 years of experience in surveying;
• Experience with the following instruments: Leica and Trimble GPS, Leica TCR-1203 and Trimble S7 total stations; Skilled with Microsoft Excel;
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans;
• Ability to work outside;
• Be interested in traveling for short periods of time (surveys to be done throughout the Atlantic territory);
• Bilingual in French and English;
• Hold a valid driver's license and a vehicle.


Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in surveying;
• Hold your ASP Construction card;
•  Independent and self-starting;



  • Sponsorship for obtaining a Canadian work permit is not available for this position.
  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $43 500 - $ 65 000.
