The shift pattern is rotational 12 hours days and nights.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our Surgical Speciality ward team here at QUEH.

You will be working alongside our nursing team providing essential care to our patients with varied Surgical conditions including Vascular, Urology, Orthopaedic, and general surgical. In our 28 bedded ward, you will provide care and meet the needs of a wide variety of patients within your remit. This may include complex care needs including pre and post-operative care and early rehabilitation.

A fundamental part of the role is to communicate with the Multi-disciplinary team in enhancing the patient journey. You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse and the registered nurses but should be able to work on your own merit supervised by the wider nursing team.

A qualification is Health and Social care is preferred but not essential Experience in Health or Social care would be beneficial. Development will be encouraged as part of your ongoing career within the NHS.

You will be working a fully rotational shift pattern of 12 hour days and nights.
