What Your Role Will Be...

Senior Manager, Operations - Automotive Finance

Leads and oversees the Operations team within the Dealer Finance Centre for Commercial automotive clients in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Leads a team that oversees the output of high quality and accurate client information relating to cash management services, and automotive loan processing and administration.

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Ensures the department is providing quality and valuable support to clients by ensuring staff are knowledgeable on products, services, and customer service skills, and utilizing existing programs developed and where appropriate raise issues when a gap is identified.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of customer accounts, information, and data by monitoring processes and procedures to ensure staff are following protocols and established guidelines in the completion of their respective tasks.
  • Provides leadership support to employees and supports the Bank’s performance management processes by identifying unit goals and objectives that are aligned with the business priorities, and supporting career development planning activities.
  • Ensures the team establishes and maintains an efficient and cost effective environment by working with DFC and Auto Finance management and business partners to resolve complex issues that improve the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

What You Need To Succeed...

  • Business Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Effective coaching skills to foster the development of others
  • Strong managerial experience
  • Ability to resolve issues and reduce business and client impact
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to make decisions in situations involving uncertainty and /or significant risk
  • Ability to analyze operational issues, identify impacts and execute workarounds within an operating framework
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
