The Opportunity:
Dr. Leïla Reguigui & Dr. Michael MacGillivary, located in Moncton, NB are looking for a permanent full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team.
As a vital member of the team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients. Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable:
- Participate in patient care through information gathering and basic assessment.
- Answer inquiries in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner.
- Apply dressings and conduct treatments according to physician's orders.
- Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care in the setting of minor procedures.
- Review and process faxes electronically, including patient referrals.
- Maintain electronic medical records via EMR software.
- Clean and sterilize materials and instruments.
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked appropriately.
- Order medical supplies.
- Perform all other related clinical, administrative or special tasks.
Working Conditions & Location:
The Licensed Practical Nurse position requires availability to work on-site from Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (excluding evenings, weekends, and STAT holidays). If preferred, the possibility of working 4-days/week can be further discussed with the employer.
The team within the clinic consists of a total of 2 Dermatologists and their respective support staff. The clinic is located at 35 Providence St, Moncton, NB.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate clinical and critical thinking.
- Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentialy and advocacy for patients.
- Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with a computer (including using the internet, electronic medical record system, and MS Office software).

- Demonstrate excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in French is considered a strong an asset.
Experience/Education:
- Diploma of Practical Nursing is required.
- Applicant must be currently registered with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience in a healthcare environment is an asset.
- Valid CPR certification.
- General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.
