Job Description:

As an Outside Sales Representative in the contractors/Pro industry, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business in your assigned territory. You will be responsible for driving sales through hunting potential clients (prospection), cultivating new accounts, as well as maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Working closely with internal teams, you will be expected to achieve company's sales objectives and have positive growth each year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively prospect new potential clients within your assigned territory.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty, which includes regular job site visits.
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team goals.
  • Promotes Value Proposition to each customer to grow SOW (Share of Wallet) with a high close rate. Creates orders and coordinates delivery to customer through expediting team, RONA Direct or with delivery department Reviews material requirements with customer, including qualifying blueprint and material take-offs.
  • Provide accurate information on our products and services, including price and delivery quotation, sourcing new or unusual products, and completing material estimates as needed, along with tailored advice and recommendations to meet clients' specific needs.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to track prospects, quotes, quantity estimation and orders to ensure efficient sales cycle management.
  • Works with credit department to follow up on overdue accounts. Arranges to pick up cheques or establishes special payment terms with customer as approved by Credit Administrator.

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build trust-based relationships with clients.
  • Position requires a general knowledge of the multi-family construction and property management verticals. (MANDATORY)
  • Strong sales acumen, with demonstrated experience in achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Experience in customer outreach and cold calling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and sales management software.
  • Position requires exposure to extreme temperature changes, loud noise and dirt when visiting job sites.
  • Position involves exposure to risk and danger when driving and visiting job sites.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
