Cabot Canada Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join our team in Sarnia, Ontario. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this entry-level position is ideal for someone who is seeking to grow their experience in the field of Human Resources, who is passionate about building positive relationships with employees and community partners, and who has a knack for creating memorable events that align with our company culture. While the position will operate mainly on a Monday to Friday day shift basis, flexibility will be required occasionally to accommodate special events.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Recruitment Ambassador : represent Cabot at job fairs, career expos, and educational institutions to attract top talent and showcase our exceptional work environment.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding : manage job postings, screen resumes, interview and facilitate new hire onboarding.
  • Event Coordination : plan, organize and coordinate company events such as training sessions, United Way Campaign, Take Our Kids To Work Day, holiday parties and special events.
  • Service, Retirement & Recognition Awards : manage the company service and retirement recognition programs.
  • Community Outreach : build and maintain relationships with local community organizations and provide administrative support managing schedules, preparing reports, handling correspondence, and organizing volunteers.
  • Internal Communications : assist in developing and distributing internal communications materials to keep employees informed and engaged. Drafting invitations, managing RSVP’s, creating engaging content for various internal platforms.
  • Wellness Program Coordination : planning, implementing, promoting and managing employee wellness programs and initiatives
  • Administrative Support : handle administrative tasks such as organizing files, conducting research, taking meeting minutes, compiling reports, and other duties as required.

What You Will Bring To Cabot

  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or actively in progress, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and situational judgement skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in handling paperwork, data entry, and compliance-related tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups and build positive relationships.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Creative and innovative approach to event planning and promotion.
  • Discrete and trustworthy with sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
