As a Reporting & Analytics Analyst, you will be responsible for developing reporting & analytics solutions that enable stakeholders to make strategic business decisions. You will need to engage with stakeholders proactively to elicit their requirements and optimize the usefulness of the reports while also learning more about the mechanics of the departments being served. You will be expected to utilize Power BI to access data to extract data from the required data sources by becoming familiar with the fields and tables that store the unique data to be extracted. You will perform QA and data testing to ensure the information contained in reports & dashboards is accurate and fit-for-purpose. You will set up and implement reports for distribution within the Power BI application.

Day to Day

  • Utilize Power BI to build meaningful reporting solutions.
  • Self-validate reporting output by reviewing system or by doing a sensibility review by reviewing same results compared to previous time periods.
  • Utilize Power BI visuals to create graphs showing trends of data provided.
  • Manipulate data and format data efficiently using Power BI with a goal of summarizing data.
  • Complete accurate, timely, and properly formatted ad hoc and standardized reporting requests.
  • Achieve turnaround time requirements for ad hoc and standard reporting requests.
  • Work collaboratively with internal or external customers to properly clarify their requirements and objectives.
  • Provide supporting data for departmental Dashboard reporting.
  • Participates as reporting SME in interdepartmental projects.
  • Perform continual maintenance on Operational Dashboards and KPI Database due to changes in customer needs.
  • Collaborate with team members globally to define and follow best practices.
  • Monitor the usage and performance of shared and scheduled reports/dashboards in Power BI.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or Information Technology.
  • Expert-level skill and demonstrated on-the-job work experience on the Power BI platform, including all components of the platform:
    • Power BI Desktop and Web developer (i.e. visualization and dashboard layer.)
    • Semantic Models
    • Power Query
    • Power Flow
    • DAX Studio
    • Administration of the Power BI platform (end user permissions, Workspace maintenance, setup and deployment of reports, etc.)
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience (ideally at least 2 years) in the following areas:
    • Experience in writing SQL Queries to extract and analyze data.
    • Advanced data manipulation skills in MS Excel.
    • QA/Testing in the capacity of both front-end (visual layer) of reporting and raw data sets.
  • Soft skills:
    • Time and task management skills will be paramount since this is a fast-paced project with tight timelines and milestones.
    • Ability to work self-sufficiently based on assigned tasks.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with other project team members and collaborate to ensure deliverables are met.
    • Problem solving and root cause analysis.

Applicable Pay Range

$56,381 - $84,572

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, pension plan, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
