We are seeking a talented Java developer to join our team and work on a Murex Upgrade project with an anticipated end date in Q2 2025. Potentially extend the project timeline by 1-3 months based on project need

Role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Java Developer to join our team, focusing on upgrading and maintaining the Java layer around the Murex instance. This role is crucial as the Java layer acts as the gateway for all input and output operations within the Murex system. You’ll be working in a distributed team of 14 people, so effective communication and the ability to work independently are key. The onboarding process is well-established, with the expectation that new team members will be fully operational within a week or two.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Java layer around the Murex instance, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with team members across various global offices.
  • Work with the latest version of Murex, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, Finance or Quantitative finance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with Murex
  • Java Expertise: Strong experience in Java development, particularly in a financial services environment.
  • Murex Knowledge: Recent experience with Murex, understanding its architecture and integration points.
  • Python: Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Apache Camel: Familiarity with the Apache Camel framework is advantageous.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently and efficiently within a distributed team.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members across different time zones.

  • The salary range for this role is US$120,000 - US$190,000 on W2. Working on C2C is also a possibility.
