What You’ll Be Doing

As a Centralized Services Technician, you’ll leverage technology for network monitoring, incident response, proactive maintenance, communications management, and reporting. You’ll research and develop processes around new tools to enhance our service and use automation to resolve common issues across clients. You’re responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a great communicator. A scripting expert with extensive experience, you excel in customer service and troubleshooting in busy environments.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Create and manage automation components for customers and Yardstick’s infrastructure.
  • Configure alerts to ensure Yardstick processes are followed for issue identification and resolution.
  • Research, develop, and implement new centralized tools and solutions to technological problems.
  • Develop and deploy security standards to clients using central tools.
  • Manage the underlying hardware infrastructure for Yardstick’s central tools.
  • Ensure data backups are functional and maintain data integrity for customers.
  • Manage cloud services, including spam and domain management.
  • Identify recurring problems and implement permanent fixes through automation.
  • Work with onboarding personnel to ensure successful onboarding of new customers.
  • Maintain documentation within all Yardstick technology environments.
  • Participate in projects as required for NOC components.
  • Provide backup high-level support for high-priority issues and outages.
  • Approve, schedule, and review zero-day exploits.
  • FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer Administration (example: register FortiGate devices, maintain standard templates and logs.)
  • MFA Administration (example: set up AD sync duo, manual DUO, and review authentication logs.)
  • Ensure deployment compliance and tool maintenance with our RMM and EDR tools (ie. ArcticWolf and SentinelOne.), as well as Windows Updates.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years working within a Security and Patching/Compliance or Centralized Services department.
  • 5+ years working within a Windows Server environment.
  • 3+ years with network monitoring, tools, and protocols.
  • 3+ years with scripting and automation development in a Windows environment.
  • 3+ years experience with tools in a Managed Services environment.
  • Experience with ArcticWolf and SentinelOne.
  • VMWare ESXI experience.
  • Microsoft MCSA or similar certifications.

Preferred But Not Required

  • Experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
  • ConnectWise Manage & Automate experience.
