About The Information Systems Group

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Vancouver-based Information Systems team.

In this role, the Product Owner will work within an agile team to review technical requirements, define test plans, test cases, plan execution, execute tests, and defect filing. In addition to providing a very high level of customer service, you will develop strong relationships with internal customers and IS technical staff. You will provide test support, maintain systems documentation, and contribute to various IS projects.

Individuals applying for this position must be able to multi-task, have a strong attention to detail, professional demeanor, and be able to adapt into a growing and changing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work in an agile team and collaborate with developers and testers to deliver software product for investment operation
  • Meet with business users to gain clear understanding of the business problem, document problem statement and detail process, analyze data flow and present result to the development team
  • Work with team managers and subject matter experts to brainstorm potential solutions based on analysis result
  • Manage and prepare team backlog and help development team in understanding business vision, requirements, or gather feedback from business
  • Support the development team through the design and implementation phase
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with various stakeholders

About You

  • Degree or diploma in computer science field, Information Management, or Information Technology related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience relevant to the role
  • Experience in Financial industry or/and have passion to learn the complex operation behind asset management
  • You are familiar with product development concepts. You have a passion about technology
  • Experience working in Agile environment and have a collaborative spirit that helps you work well with others and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationship with all levels of business users and management
  • Excellent organizational skills with motivation, self-direction, and good time management skills

The base salary range is $120,000-140,000 annually plus a competitive performance bonus. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
