Position: General Labour/Inserter

Location: Ottawa West (Moodie Dr.)

Salary: Starting at $17.20 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Job Type: Temporary (possibility of extension for the right person)

Hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Start Date: Monday October 7th 2024

Approximate End Date: 6-10 week contract (possibility of extension)

We are currently recruiting General Labour/Inserter with one of our long time clients in Kanata. This is a temporary contract but could become permanent for the right candidate. Free parking is available, and the company is accessible by bus.

The Candidates Are Responsible For

• Insert books into a binder
• Shrink wrapping the final product
• Place final items into cartons for storage
• Assist with the operation of various inserting equipment
• Keep work area in order and staged with product
• Understand and can use computers
• Perform quality control
  
  
  

In addition to this, they will also be required to:

• Have their own protective footwear (steel-toed boots or shoes)
• Stand, lift and move around all day
• Lift up to 35 to 40 lbs max
• Have attention to detail and have pride in their work
• Speak and understand English and work well in a team environment
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minor mechanical ability
• Computer experience
• Warehouse experience
• Clean criminal record
• Steel-toed boots/shoes
