Senior Financial Analyst - Contract - 17290

About The Opportunity

Our Ottawa based client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to help guide reporting, audit and budgeting process within their Finance division. This is a contract opportunity for 6 months but highly likely to extend or go permanent.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the Preparation of Financial Statements:
• Collaborate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Create cash flow reports to be shared with internal departments, the CEO, and the Board of Trustees
• Intercompany Transactions and Reconciliation:
• Prepare and manage monthly intercompany transactions between the Corporation and the Foundation
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Work closely with various departments to assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Upload budget information to accounting system for tracking and analysis
• Finance Process and Procedure Documentation:
• Collaborate on the design and documentation of finance processes and procedures within the Finance department and across the entire corporation
• Internal Control Processes:
• Review and provide input on formal and informal internal control processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and compliance
  
  

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Previous Finance experience working with a foundation or charity would be an asset
• CPA designation or pursuing/completion in 2024 is required
• Bilingual, English and French is a very strong asset
• BSc degree in Finance or Accounting
• Ability to generate new ideas and experience working with senior level management

Hybrid work environment – 3 days in their Ottawa office and 2 days working from home.
