As a Satcom Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of satellite communication avionics systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of satellite communication technologies into our products and solutions. Your expertise in satellite communication systems will be crucial in driving innovation and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Kanata location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development and deployment of satellite communication systems. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, design system architectures, and implement solutions that meet customer needs. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to satellite communication systems.
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in avionics or communication systems engineering

- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- Experience with satellite communication system testing and validation
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for satellite communication systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of satellite communication technologies and protocols
- Proficiency in system design and integration
