Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager in collaboration with the Professional Leader, the successful candidate will provide quality occupational therapy services within a client-centred framework. As an OT within the Outpatient Neuro Rehab program, you will triage referred clients, and assess and develop treatment plans for clients, which may include individualized cognitive-perceptual, physical rehabilitation, and self-care programs.

Accountabilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including education to patients and families and consultation within the outpatient team
• Work closely and collaboratively with physiotherapists, speech-language pathologists, home and community care coordinators and occupational therapy assistants on the team
• Supervise OTAs, volunteers and students
• Participate in program meetings, committees and quality initiatives within the program and occupational therapy team as needed
• Practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by COTO

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Membership in CAOT or OSOT preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)
• A minimum of five years' experience providing evidence-based OT assessment & treatment to a neurological population
• Experience with psychosocial, cognitive, perceptual and physical health related assessment and intervention skills addressing occupational performance
• Demonstrated ability to manage high caseload volumes
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team environment
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills required

• May be required to travel between and work at all hospital and community sites

Hours: Currently Days, 8 hour shifts (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
