Manager, Recruiter Development DMC Recruitment Group – Canada (Dispersed Team)

Remote

Salary $100,000 - $120,000 plus bonus plus benefits

Company Overview

DMC Recruitment Group is not your typical recruitment agency. In just four years, we’ve exceeded every expectation, by delivering bespoke recruitment solutions for the Design & Architecture, Building Materials, and Construction industries.

Our mission? Partnering with the North American Construction Supply Chain to match the right talent to the right opportunities in markets worth hundreds of billions of dollars. We operate with a commission-only model and provide best-in-class recruitment training, cutting-edge technology, and marketing support to enable our consultants to thrive.

We’re a dispersed team, not remote—we value true teamwork and collaboration. Our consultants work together, supporting each other to present a unified force to the market. It’s essential that the Manager, Recruiter Development reflects these values and knows how to manage and inspire consultants working across different locations.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on leader—a Manager, Recruiter Development—who knows how to coach, mentor, and motivate a talented group of recruitment consultants. This is a non-billing role focused on enabling our consultants to maximize their potential by supporting them in achieving their individual and team goals.

This is not just about recruitment; it’s about building a team culture, managing performance, and ensuring each consultant has the tools and guidance they need to excel in their markets. You will be the first point of contact for your team—helping them solve problems, fine-tune their sales techniques, and ensure they’re working toward their goals.

If you’re passionate about coaching, leadership, and fostering a positive work environment while managing a high-performing, dispersed sales team, then this might be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Coach & mentor consultants to optimize recruitment processes, meet personal targets, and stay motivated.
  • Promote a positive, team-first culture. Your leadership will shape how the team operates and feels day to day.
  • Organize routine one-on-one sessions and team meetings to review pipelines, remove obstacles, and offer the support needed for growth.
  • Performance Enhancement:
  • Assess individual and team performance, identifying areas for improvement. Implement best practices to drive success across our teams.
  • Work with Partner/Practice Leads to set sector-appropriate performance deliverables.
  • Build growth plans tailored to each consultant’s goals and ambitions.
  • Sales Process Maximization:
  • Continuously refine sales strategies and recruitment and sourcing techniques to ensure consultants are equipped to succeed in highly competitive markets.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives to improve overall team effectiveness.
  • Operational Oversight & Compliance:
  • Manage individual and team revenue targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment laws and internal quality standards to maintain consistency across the board.
  • Conflict Resolution & Issue Management:
  • Be the first point of contact for resolving any conflicts or performance issues within the team. Escalate to senior leadership as necessary.
  • Training & Development:
  • Provide continuous coaching to consultants on skills development and personal growth.
  • Work with the Training Manager to ensure consultants are using the systems and tools effectively.
  • Recruitment of Additional Talent:
  • Help identify and hire future recruitment talent, contributing to the ongoing growth of our business.

Requirements:

  • Recruitment Expertise: You understand the recruitment process inside and out—whether it’s recruitment strategies, sales optimization, or coaching consultants through challenges.
  • Leadership Skills: You have a proven track record of managing and developing teams. You know how to inspire others, maintain high morale, and create a supportive culture.
  • Sales and Business Development Knowledge: You’re comfortable with the sales side of recruitment and can help consultants refine their techniques to drive revenue.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: You’re a natural mentor, able to identify strengths and weaknesses and provide tailored support to each consultant.
  • Performance Management: You can analyze performance data and develop growth plans to address any discrepancies in team performance.
  • Cultural Leadership: You have strong ethical standards and know how to communicate, uphold, and defend the company culture.
  • Conflict Resolution: You’re capable of resolving team conflicts and maintaining structure and consistency within a dispersed team.

Why Join Us?

At DMC, we don’t just say we offer best-in-class tools and support; we deliver. When you join, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art recruitment software, a dedicated marketing team, and a training program that’s second to none. We operate on a commission-only model, so our consultants are rewarded for the work they put in.

You’ll be joining a business that values autonomy but thrives on collaboration. With established teams in the $150bn North American Building Materials market and the $345bn Architecture & Design market, plus growing teams in construction and development, the opportunities here are massive.

Location:

This is a remote position. Work from wherever you like within Canada but expect to be deeply involved in the team’s day-to-day work and culture. This role will have set 40 hours per week. East Coast can expect to start slightly later, West Coast applicants will need to start at 8am.

Reporting

You will report to the Director, working closely with the Partners in the business to ensure alignment with our mission and goals.

Compensation

This is a salaried position with base salary circa $100,000 to $120,000 plus incentives, benefits package and 3 weeks' vacation.
