This position reports to

Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the delivery of Service projects and ABB Customer Care Agreements within Automation Service Canada largely in Canada and in some cases international locations.

Reporting to the Service Manager for the Ontario & Manitoba region, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the customer orders.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Managing customer service orders to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Working with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers
  • Work closely with the ABB Account Managers to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare quotes and implement contract changes based on customer requests.
  • Achieving service order deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
  • Coordinate project team effort including engineering, testing, site work activities and sub-contractors.
  • Review status, monitor, analyze and report on contract performance.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders


Qualifications For The Role

  • Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma, Project Management PMP designation is an asset.
  • Relevant experience managing industrial control systems and electrical apparatus projects and Experience in industrial and/or utilities markets is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, financial analysis, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS), integrated drive system solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently, collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills – SAP or other ERP, Microsoft Suite including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
