This opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Quality and Safety, this position leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of professional development and clinical training programming for those working within our Continuing Care branch. The Manager of Clinical Practice & Professional Development is an essential member of the management team, contributing to branch wide organizational development by ensuring division staff remain current and fully trained in their respective fields.

Important Application And Job Requirements

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Current registration with Registered Nursing regulatory authority and eligible for registration in Yukon
  • Experience supervising and managing personnel (e.g. developing people, leading teams with diverse skills, mentoring, and performance management)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, One Drive) with the ability to create and manage documents, review data, develop presentations, and handle file management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management/quality improvement
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external partners, (e.g. educationalinstitutions and regulatory bodies considered an asset) .
  • Education/coursework in adult learning is considered an asset.

Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector; TB screening, WHIMIS 2015, Valid Class 5 drivers license, Current registration with Canadian Registered Nursing regulatory authority

Job Requirements

This job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:

Regular lifting up to 20 lbs, potential travel both in and outside the territory by both ground and air, potential exposure to pets, second hand smoke, warm temperatures and increased exposure to infectious organisms and exposure to latex products.
