Part-time Instructor, Mechanical Maintenance Practices

We require qualified individual/s to teach Mechanical Maintenance Practices courses multiple times throughout the year.

Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. The position is offered on a casual contract basis with deliveries scheduled as early as mid-October 2024; flexible hours required as scheduled shifts will include two full weeks of instruction per course delivery (Monday - Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm). Incumbents will be scheduled to work at Conestoga's Skilled Trades campus located at 25 Reuter Drive in Cambridge. Incumbents will instruct alongside another Instructor as a shop requirement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree, or certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) or Construction Millwright (426A) credentials required
• Minimum three years of experience in automotive manufacturing maintenance
• Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners either in a formal educational setting or in the workplace; post-secondary teaching experience would be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of MS Office suite is considered an asset
• Possess excellent leadership skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
• Excellent organizational, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are required
