Position Overview
Applications are invited for permanent position of Labourer I/Relief Operator in the Sanitation division of the Public Works Department.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Effectively operate the assigned equipment safely and efficiently under a wide variety of operating conditions.
Report any problems with the equipment.
Operate equipment up to and including the assigned level in accordance with the attached lists.
Perform a variety of manual labour and data collection tasks.
Perform heavy manual tasks when required.
Follow Acts, Regulations, Bylaws, Agreements, policies and procedures.
Follow the Act, Regulations and policies of Occupational Health & Safety.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Qualifications, training and experience are as per the attached job description.
The successful candidate will need to obtain a class 3A license within 30 days and will be required to become certified on the Front End Loader and the Landfill Compactor (Bomag) within the 60 day proving period.
