Intermediate Accountant

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in New Westminster, British Columbia. The role involves various accounting functions and the use of different accounting software systems, providing crucial support in our financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end of the month accounting processes
• Recording and maintaining journal entries
• Preparing and presenting financial statements
• Performing general ledger reconciliations
• Handling complex accounts payable invoicing
• Acting as the primary contact for employee payroll inquiries
• Processing payroll for both union and non-union employees
• Reviewing and approving timesheets via ADP
• Utilizing accounting software systems such as CaseWare, Ceridian, and Concur
• Performing auditing tasks when required
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  
  

Requirements

• Candidate must possess proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services will be advantageous
• Familiarity with CaseWare is required
• Experience with Ceridian software is desirable
• Proficiency in Concur is necessary
• Must have a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions
• Should be able to handle Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Must have a solid understanding of Accrual Accounting
• Auditing skills are a must-have.
