This is a superb opportunity to join our CGI-Edmonton team providing leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking Full Stack .NET Developers to work in our large enterprise environments.

As a successful candidate, you will have a combination of development and maintenance experience and be working with a diverse portfolio of technologies while contributing to several projects. As part of a larger team, you will work with and learn from our expert developers and architects and have numerous opportunities to use your expertise to become a key part of large client engagements.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and deployment of new applications, system software, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and product owners in the development, enhancement, and support of digital products.
  • Develop data extractions or reports from client requirements, and investigate data-related issues.
  • Develop strategies for improving and modernizing existing applications and systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • A minimum of five years of experience in development
  • Experience with developing web based and mobile applications
  • Experience developing database solution using relational databases
  • Experience deploying highly scalable solutions to a cloud environment

Desirable qualifications:

  • API and backend services development using .NET Core
  • Development experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue
  • Experience working with cloud PaaS environments such as Azure or AWS
  • Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker), experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Proven proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborating on code through GitHub
  • Experience with automating application deployment using at least one of the following: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  • Development experience with languages such as C#, PowerShell, Python, and/or Transact SQL
  • Proficiency in conducting OWASP security testing and addressing vulnerabilities identified by static code analysis tools
  • Expertise in developing automated end-to-end user interface tests using Selenium, Jest, Cypress, or TestCafé
  • Proven ability to extract, transform, and visualize data using reporting tools to generate actionable insights
  • Ability to deploy and configure supporting infrastructure components, including proxies, web servers, and certificates
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Educational qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma, or certification in Computing Science or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Certification in Cloud Services (e.g., Azure, AWS)
