About The Role
We’re looking for an Associate Private Client Insurance Broker/Client Manager to attract, build and retain strong relationships with our VIP/high-net-worth clients by providing superior service and tailoring recommendations that fit the needs of successful and accomplished individuals and families.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver extraordinary value to our clients by identifying exposures, determining the appropriate solutions to those exposures and advising the customer of why the solutions are the best fit for them
- Work with backend service team in preparation of applications, specifications, and marketing strategy for new business as well as the renewals of an assigned book of business assisting with insurer portal transactions as required
- Provide professional and prompt client service for new and existing client accounts, including client questions on topics such as coverage, billing, reporting of claims, audits, etc
- Manage and build relationships with assigned Centre’s of Influence (i.e., wealth management firms, art appraisers, real estate firms, etc.) and their client base to grow assigned portfolio
- Attend industry and carrier training sessions to ensure well versed in new products and services available
- Function as first line underwriters, qualifying, maintaining and promoting sound quality business
- Achieve new business targets and generate revenue growth opportunities by identifying needs for additional lines of coverage, cross selling internally to other P&C lines, Group Benefits and Wealth Management departments and generating referrals for new opportunities
- Be the lead in maintaining positive, long-term relationships with the clients, insurance carrier representatives and NFP staff
- Alberta General 1 Required, other provincial licenses would be an asset
- Typically, more than 2 years of directly related industry and product line experience
- Experience with Private Client/VIP coverage with increased special limits is aa asset (High value home & auto, fine art, personal marine craft, etc.)
- Sound knowledge of industry trends as well as PCG carrier products and services (i.e., Chubb Insurance, Intact Prestige, Aviva Ovation, Live Easy, Onyx, etc.)
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating business intelligence
- Positive and passionate attitude towards client satisfaction and business achievements
- High-level of organization with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- High tolerance for ambiguity; flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology
- Excellent computer skills expected and EPIC fluency an asset
- Currently holding or working towards professional insurance designation such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc
