Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Payments Supervisor to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, AP & Payments in the Supply Chain Service Unit, part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.

Guided by Pembina's values, Supply Chain collaborates with the Business Units ensuring that all supply chain activities are executed with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and are in strict adherence to Pembina’s policies. Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the payments team, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time;
  • Enhance and implement payment processes and procedures to improve efficiency;
  • Monitor and manage the team's performance, providing training and guidance as necessary;
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leaders to ensure the requisition-to-payment process is efficient, streamlined, and effective. This includes identifying potential areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes, and monitoring the overall performance of the process;
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and effective manner;
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of any issues;
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards;
  • Prepare and present reports on payment activities and progress;
  • Active supply chain leadership team member, building trust and generating and sustaining organizational value;
  • Promote an environment of collaborative continuous improvement throughout Pembina and with our suppliers;

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience, including leadership experience in payments, accounts payable or related fields;
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing and accounting principles;
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Extensive experience with SAP and an intermediate user of Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications;
  • Effective communication, organization and team-building skills, complemented by a strong work ethic;
  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills; and
  • Energetic, positive, and customer-focused, with a thorough knowledge of inter-relationships within the business.

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
