HEABC leads and supports the strategic planning related to human resources and labour relations on behalf of British Columbia’s publicly funded health employers. HEABC is responsible for negotiating provincial agreements for 179,000 unionized health care employees including nurses, physician residents, ambulance paramedics, health science professionals, and more.

The successful candidate may be permitted to work in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and flexible work location) and will live within commuting distance of our Vancouver office. The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; proof of vaccination is required.

OPPORTUNITY:


HEABC has an opportunity for an Education and Training Consultant to work within the Medical Staff Services portfolio. Working within a collegial and service-oriented environment, you will utilize best practices related to knowledge translation and adult education to provide leadership in the planning, design, development and delivery of education programs to support the negotiation of contracts for medical staff services and ensure consistent application of provincial medical staff agreements.


Education and Experience:


  • University degree related to adult education or a related field
  • Five to seven years of recent, related experience in teaching and coordinating adult education
  • Experience with developing and delivering comprehensive training and education programs.
  • Computer literacy including Word, Excel, graphic design, and database programs is required
  • Proficiency with MS Teams and Zoom and familiarity with Moodle platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with system partners and subject matter experts to develop engaging education and training resources which can be adapted to suit various adult learning styles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and relationship skills.

Salary Range: $74,618 to $107,264

Typical Hiring Range: $74,618 to $93,273


In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
