The Director, Corporate Finance will be crucial in enhancing our financial health and strategic direction. This role provides a unique chance to leverage advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning within the multi-family sector. Reporting into the VP, Capital Markets, the Director will work closely with senior leadership to create financial models, assess operational data, and influence the company’s overall financial strategy.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Oversee the preparation, review and interpretation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Lead the identification of key financial trends, variances, and potential risks or opportunities, delivering strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Spearhead the development, refinement and execution of financial models used in forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Provide insights on operational performance and financial outcomes to support strategic decision-making and long-term business planning.
  • Lead the creation, evaluation and execution of comprehensive, long-term financial strategies, including scenario analysis for major investments or corporate initiatives.
  • Oversee the collection, consolidation and management of financial and operational data, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
  • Drive enhancements in financial reporting systems, processes and automation to increase operational efficiency, transparency and accuracy.
  • Present financial analyses and reports to key stakeholders, including executives, board members, and external investors.
  • Partner with key departments, including Accounting, Investments, Operations and Capital Markets to understand core business drivers and their financial impact.
  • Lead ad hoc financial analysis, providing critical insights to senior leadership on emerging business opportunities, risks and market trends.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives with comprehensive financial evaluations and recommendations.


WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required, a CPA or CFA designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or a related field, with demonstrated success in a leadership or advisory capacity.
  • Experience in multi-family real estate or a strong understanding of real estate finance and asset management is beneficial.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling and other advanced financial analysis tools; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Yardi, SharePoint) is highly valued.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights that influence business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, corporate finance principles and performance metrics, with the ability to drive complex financial models that inform key business decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all analyses and reports.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
