About the Role:

Join us at ATCO Electric as a Customer Connection Expeditor. As a valuable member of our team, you will be the primary point of contact for customers developing new power connections to their properties. You will guide them through the scoping phase, ensuring their electrical needs are understood and met.

This role involves managing multiple customer projects at once, collaborating with internal teams, and using various technical tools to design and deliver safe and efficient power solutions. You’ll be responsible for developing project scopes, costs, and schedules while ensuring compliance with electrical standards and regulations. Strong customer service, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand needs, discuss project scopes, costs, schedules, and proposals.
  • Design and issue new overhead (O/H) and underground (U/G) facilities for extensions and system improvements.
  • Coordinate activities to meet customer expectations and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Process multiple customer project requests and act as a liaison during the Scoping Phase.
  • Identify ways to enhance customer experience, improve service delivery, and reduce costs.
  • Apply pricing, schedules, and commercial terms to customer proposals, ensuring proper application of tariffs and terms & conditions.
  • Manage external notifications, consents, and release packages of permits to the execution phase.
  • Prepare construction drawings, compile material lists, and generate commercial terms, investment, and proposal letters.
  • Maintain Health & Safety guidelines, interface with financial and project management systems, and develop status reports to track projects.
  • Identify and address potential customer/service delivery risks, work with GIS/Gtechnology, AutoCAD, and Oracle, and seek process improvements.

What You Bring:

  • Completion of a post-secondary technical/business diploma in a related discipline from a recognized Canadian Institute of Technology will be preferred. An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or years of experience may be considered.
  • 3 – 5 years of customer service experience
  • 3 – 5 years of electricity industry experience including basic electrical concepts.
  • In-depth Knowledge of Canadian electrical standards would be an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require some travel.
  • This position may require some work outdoors.
