We are seeking a Bilingual Pharmacy Case Coordinator to join our team to act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, clinics, and patient support programs. Key functions include coordination of pharmacy services and management of cases while maintaining high quality patient care.

This is a permanent, full-time position that can be based out of any of the provinces: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, PE and NL.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Acts as a single point of contact for patients and healthcare providers using Pharmacy Services;
  • Builds and maintains solid trusting relationships with all key stakeholders (patients, healthcare providers, physician office staff, pharmacies);
  • Receives, reviews, validates, documents, and enters intakes and prescriptions from prescribers or clinics;
  • Active management of new patient files including completing welcome calls and following up with other healthcare providers;
  • Tracks patient coverage status by communicating with patient support program(s) and/or payors to ensure timely access to specialty drug therapies;
  • Drug reimbursement navigation when needed, which includes securing coverage by coordinating and submitting all related paperwork to insurance companies and/or public/federal funding programs;
  • Provides non-reimbursement patient status updates to physicians when requested in a timely manner;
  • Maintains an open line of communication between patients, healthcare providers, and patient support programs and pharmacies;

What You’ll Bring To Our Team

  • Bilingualism (written & spoken) in French & English is required;
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pharmacy or other related healthcare setting is preferred;
  • Proven excellence in customer service related tasks;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong computer and technological skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products;
  • Good understanding of drug reimbursement and 3rd party billing;
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multi-task;
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment;
  • Able to think critically to solve problems; and
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
