A Day in the Life:

PRT is currently recruiting a seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to assist with the many different aspects of nursery responsibilities at our PRT Campbell River Nursery in Campbell River, BC. Work is done indoors and outdoors with duties focusing on harvesting tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world. Candidates should have a desire and keenness to learn about the forest seedling nursery activities, work independently and efficiently. No experience required; full training provided.  

About the team:

The Nursery Worker will work alongside other Nursery Workers under the supervision of the Nursery Lead and report to the Nursery Manager.

Required/Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Reliable transportation
  • Appropriate work attire
  • Good manual dexterity and eyesight
  • Team-oriented personality with a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Commitment to quality and safety

  • Competitive hourly wage of $17.66 + additional $0.67 per straight time hours for the training period, compensation then transfers to piece work with greater earning potential.
