We are looking for a Toronto-based Sourcing Coordinator to help support direct sourcing, product, and merchandising initiatives for Sleep Country/Dormez-Vous and INC Brands (Endy, Silk & Snow, Hush, & Casper Canada). This individual will work closely with, and report to the Assistant Sourcing Manager. They will be a key member of the Sourcing team, and an important liaison with cross-functional teams.

As Sourcing Coordinator you will:

Sample Management

  • Manage the sending and receiving of product samples from domestic and overseas suppliers as well as our INC Brands
  • Ensure product details meet all requirements prior to shipments
  • Help develop and manage sample receiving, cataloging, and organization processes
  • Follow inbound/outbound sample statuses and communicate updates to necessary teams
  • Arrange sample review meetings with relevant teams

Product Compliance & Testing

  • Help review product samples to ensure correct measurements, color(s), packaging, features, functions, etc.
  • Coordinate internal testing meetings with Quality Inspection team and manage process, documentation, sign-offs and feedback to Merchandising, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations teams afterwards
  • Review incoming newly ordered product and arrange inbound quality control approval meetings
  • Help arrange product quality control inspections and factory audits with domestic & overseas vendors. Work with Sourcing Managers and Director of Sourcing to review completed inspections to assess compliance and quality standards
  • Oversee the tracking and communication regarding product warranty issues. Communicate with internal teams to help troubleshoot, approve write-off requests, track total warranty issues along with total sales units to identify possible negative trends in quality issues. Assist in providing necessary data to vendors and request credits back for manufacturing defects

Documentation & Administrative

  • Onboard new vendors by communicating and documenting needed information about the vendor and collecting key details needed for Finance, Supply Chain and others.
  • Transfer product specifications to internal documents, including SKU creation, and working with admins & Product Information Management (PIM) team to ensure this information is entered into our work systems timely and accurately
  • Help create sales spec sheets of product features and details for training and awareness. These are shared with Merchandising and Sales teams


The Qualifications and Experience we’d like to see:

  • Post-Secondary Degree, and/or equivalent education, training or experience is desired
  • 1-2 years’ experience with a product-based company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adhere to deadlines and see tasks through to completion
  • Ability to see the total organization with an integrated perspective
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven organizational capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud - an asset
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative while having a solutions-oriented approach
  • Be naturally curious and not being afraid to ask questions or follow up
  • Be a team-player and develop positive and productive peer relationship
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and constructive manner with the team and cross-functional partners
