The CNC Machinist is responsible for the accurate set-up and operations of various machine tools and equipment required to fabricate, modify, and repair parts and products within the shop. To timely maintain the equipment for operational efficiency and to avoid downtime.

This individual is highly focused on accuracy, precision, and quality in manufacturing. Capable of prioritizing their workload to achieve objectives on time.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Accurately set up and operate a variety of tools including but not limited to CNC turning centres and CNC machining centres, to manufacture, modify, and repair various metal products.
  • Skilled and precise in machining parts, and products to specifications using specialized machining tools.
  • Control quality during the fabrication process and make changes necessary to avoid errors in the future.
  • Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances with instruments such as micrometers and calipers, etc.
  • Skill, dexterity, and ability to monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines and tools to provide optimum operations efficiency.
  • Ability to follow all Safety Policies & Procedures that are implemented and maintained, at all work locations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3-5 years CNC Machinist experience
  • Must be Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada or have a Valid Canada Work Permit and live in Canada
  • Must have experience with 3D CAD programming & drawings
  • Demonstrated focus on producing quality work on time and with precision.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and able to work independently to achieve the assigned tasks.
  • Responsive, respectful, and capable of following directions to work within a team dynamic.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to comply with Company's policies and procedures.
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs unassisted.

Physical Requirements & Disadvantages:

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to natural and environmental elements such as noise, dust, dirt, water, sharp objects, small spaces, and odors.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and stand for over 3 hours at a time.
