Billing Clerk

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the transport industry for a Billing Clerk in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is situated within a bustling environment, where you will be tasked with entering and analyzing data related to driver payroll and full cycle billings. Familiarity with transport language and equipment will be an asset in this role.

Responsibilities

• Performing data entry tasks related to driver payroll and kilometer tracking
• Managing full cycle billings in a high-volume setting
• Analyzing driver timesheets for accurate customer invoicing
• Familiarizing with transport equipment including 4 axle, 5 axle, flat deck
• Understanding and using transportation language such as pre-trip, post-trip, hours of service
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various billing and payroll functions
• Ensuring the accuracy of all entered data
• Taking necessary action based on customer account monitoring
• Resolving customer inquiries promptly and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer records and processing customer credit applications efficiently.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in billing procedures and understanding of basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with payroll functions and related tasks
• Familiarity with transport industry's billing requirements and regulations
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong mathematical and numerical skills
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
