General Summary

The Financial Analyst III provides financial guidance to management through the analysis of products, operations, capital requests and strategic projects. This position assists in supporting cross-functional projects and teams by performing cost-benefit analysis.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates data for corporate and cross-functional projects and initiatives utilizing financial, statistical, and computer modeling techniques with recommendations to management for improved performance.
  • Acts as lead in special and cross-functional projects to ensure business planning process for appropriate operating unit. Process includes coordination of developing targets, timely business plan assumption and information flow to analysis and/or operating management of recommendation completion.
  • Analyzes major operational and strategic proposals affecting operating units by providing feasibility studies to focus on corporate impact.
  • Monitors tracking and reporting of operational and financial performance of implemented project’s actual financial impact to compare to the original proposed plan. Updates management with analyses, trends, and recommendations on a regular basis.
  • Reviews projects by investigating financial risks and benefits. Summarizes corporate impact for senior management and provides alternative recommended solutions.
  • Acts as mentor to analysts and ensures appropriate orientation and development training are received.
  • Responds to ad hoc requests, as assigned by management, requiring the ability to develop concepts in resolving requests to include identifying and coordinating relevant parties.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field preferred and 8+ years of relevant experience. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial planning, econometrics, engineering, business consulting, project management, accounting audit, operational analysis or related area required.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis applying common financial metrics and methodologies including Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV) and allocation of fixed/variable methodologies.
  • Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with systems, e.g. Oracle, Hyperion Essbase/Planning, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.

Pay Range: 65108.00 (Min) - 94323.00 (Mid) - 123538.00 (Max) Yearly
