Your future role on our team

Required

As BBA continues to grow, we’re looking for a project manager who is familiar with a consulting engineering environment and can help meet the needs of a growing number of clients. As such, you’ll be required to:

  • Provide influential leadership to ensure the success of your assigned projects.
  • Plan, lead and control project delivery in accordance with the BBA mandate and to client satisfaction as well as that of the organization, your team members and other stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively manage and resolve technical, financial, schedule and human resource issues in a timely manner to mitigate potential variances.
  • Manage project risks and implement ways to eliminate or mitigate them.
  • Ensure the health and safety policy is implemented by qualified personnel who are trained for the work to be carried out for projects.
  • Ensure the quality of professional services rendered, in accordance with the practices associated with the quality management system to preserve BBA’s professional image.
  • Significantly participate in the firm’s business development and produce proposals.
  • Integrate available resources into projects to maximize development of BBA’s skills (multi-level teams).
  • Select the appropriate personnel to ensure technical risks are controlled in collaboration with department managers.
  • Serve as a coach to work teams.

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Twenty years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects in the mining or heavy industry sectors
  • Experience managing preliminary studies
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project control, procurement and construction management teams
  • In-depth knowledge of methodology for modern project management
  • Efficient time management and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with personnel, clients and suppliers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication (English and French)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Asset: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
  • Asset: experience with construction sites
  • Asset: experience managing international projects
  • Asset: experience managing projects carried out in a joint venture or other form of partnership
