AECOM is seeking a Senior Communications Lead to join our team. This position is based out of Mississauga.

Major Responsibilities:   

  • Collaborates with the Program Delivery team and the Stakeholder Relations and Communications department to create and execute tailored stakeholder management and communication strategies for each program.
  • Offers advice and insights on stakeholder strategy through the program’s Delivery Cabinet and various stakeholder management forums.
  • Supervises and directs multiple Stakeholder Engagement Advisors to maintain a consistent and effective approach across programs.
  • Establishes and implements robust governance to oversee and assess stakeholder management activities within the program.
  • Works closely with Program Leads to ensure clear communication and coordination of resource requirements.
  • Ensures comprehensive program-level reporting and prepares management and executive reports related to stakeholder management.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and support for the professional development of staff.


Minimum Requirements:

  • University Degree in Marketing or other relevant field of study + 10 (ten) years of experience in a communications management position, including 2 (two) years in leadership.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Relevant, professional designation is an asset.
  • Possesses extensive experience in stakeholder management and/or communications management roles.
  • Experience in large infrastructure programs.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge and understanding of managing complex stakeholder relationships and developing effective communication strategies in operational and public-facing settings.
  • Proven experience in leading small teams to implement stakeholder management and/or communications plans.
  • Has a track record of managing stakeholder relationships and providing management-level reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Exhibits excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders.
