Founded by world-renowned hair restoration surgeon Dr. Victor Hasson, alongside CEO Dr. Simon Pimstone—an esteemed entrepreneur and LiveScience pioneer—XYON is positioned for rapid growth. We are currently seeking a Vice President (or Senior Vice President) of Finance & Administration to join our dynamic team at a pivotal time. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be part of a highly experienced leadership team within a thriving Canadian company expanding across North America. This permanent, full-time role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work model, blending office and remote work.

As VP of Finance & Administration, you’ll play a key role in steering the company’s financial and operational strategy, overseeing critical areas such as Finance, Human Resources, IT, Facilities Management, and Investor Relations. You’ll provide visionary leadership, ensuring financial excellence while nurturing a culture of innovation and collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute long-term financial strategies that align with XYON’s growth objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team, guiding data-driven decision-making.

Financial Management

  • Ensure the integrity of financial systems, including P&L management, balance sheet oversight, and cash flow control.
  • Supervise accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance functions.
  • Lead financial reporting and maintain high standards of fiscal responsibility.

Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with business units to drive growth and financial performance.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support project teams and optimize decision-making.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to refine pricing strategies and boost revenue streams.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, operational, and credit exposures.
  • Establish and enforce robust risk management frameworks and procedures.
  • Safeguard company assets through insurance and proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Human Resources

  • Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, talent development, performance management, and compensation strategies.
  • Lead initiatives that support employee engagement and organizational culture.

Investor Relations

  • Cultivate relationships with investors and financial stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts to secure funding, including equity and debt financing, to fuel XYON’s growth.
  • Communicate financial performance to the board and investors, ensuring transparency and trust.

Digital Transformation

  • Champion the expansion of our e-commerce platform while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Drive digital adoption across financial and administrative functions, using data analytics to enhance insights and decision-making.
  • Develop scalable IT infrastructures to support future growth.

Team Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance and administration team, including accounting, FP&A, HR, IT, and legal functions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure succession planning and talent retention within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within a high-growth environment.
  • Strong command of financial management, ASPE/US GAAP, budgeting, and variance reporting.
  • Expertise in ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing context (Microsoft Business Central is a plus).
  • Experience in fundraising, particularly within private equity or venture capital, is an asset.
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
