What We Expect

Your responsibilities

• Manage a large team of supervisors and employees by providing direction and training on procedures and objectives
• With management assistance, hire, coach and mentor personnel (both union and non-union)
• Promote and administer the company safety program. Inclusive of performing safety audits and safety training when necessary
• Using our internal systems manage the cost and operational efficiency of the maintenance department’s portfolio (schedules and callbacks)
• Provide operational hands-on leadership in quality audits, safety audits and training initiatives
• Promote, engage and practice inter-departmental co-operation
• As necessary engage in forward facing customer interactions to identify issues and problem solve
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, provincial and local elevator industry code requirements
  
  

Who we are looking for

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant Elevator Industry experience is preferred; 2 or more years experience as a Supervisor or Manager
• A technical background and/or recognized designation (Electrical/Mechanical/TSBC) in a related discipline and/or a combination of proven field experience in the elevator industry
• Competent in the use of basic business software and hardware
• A combination of experience and/or professional designations within the industry and a willingness to maintain and seek out required designations
• A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology.
• Experience with multi-tasking and prioritizing customer needs
• Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employee and customer, internal and external
